Overview
The Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell of St. Joseph's College of Pharmacy is established to foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and responsible research among faculty and students. The Cell aims to create awareness about intellectual property rights, facilitate the protection of research outcomes through patents, copyrights, trademarks, and other forms of IP, and encourage the commercialization of innovative technologies. It serves as a platform to promote ethical research practices, strengthen industry–academia collaboration, and support the institution's vision of advancing scientific excellence and societal development.
Patents
A patent is a legal right granted to an inventor that provides exclusive protection for a novel, useful, and non-obvious invention for a specified period. The IPR Cell encourages and supports faculty and students in identifying patentable innovations and facilitating the patent filing process.
