St. Joseph's College of Pharmacy is situated in Cherthala, the land of back waters amidst panoramic beauty in close proximity to Kumarakom, the renowned tourist spot and National Aquatic Bird Sanctuary. It is a unit of the Nirmala Province of the Medical Sisters of St. Joseph (MSJ Dharmagiri) Aluva, Kerala. The congregation of the Medical Sisters of St. Joseph is dedicated to the healing ministry and allied medical education, aiming to uplift the suffering humanity devoid of profit motive.
The College offers B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Pharm.D and D.Pharm programmes and is pledged to provide advanced facilities to comply with technological advancements in pharmaceutical sciences. The institute is highly research oriented and enjoys great Academic - Industrial interactions.

An international symposium titled "Pharma Excel Bioclin–2025" was held on April 4, 2025, at the college auditorium, organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell in collaboration with the Departments of Pharmaceutics and Pharmacy Practice. The symposium was inaugurated by Dr. Rajasree R.S., Dean, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kerala University of Health Sciences. The distinguished resource persons included: Dr. Thirumurthy Velpandian, Professor & Head, Ocular Pharmacology, AIIMS, New Delhi- Visiting Professor-Havard University, Dr. V. Sankar, Vice Principal, PSG College of Pharmacy, Coimbatore, Dr. Mohamed Hisham, Lead Clinical Pharmacist, Cleveland Clinic, Abu Dhabi, UAE, and Ms. Soni Pious, Pharmacist, Walgreens, Florida, USA. The theme of the symposium was "Innovating Biopharmaceutics & Clinical Pharmacy for Better Patient Care."

Courses
Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
The college offers eight Semesters B.Pharm. course with advanced class rooms and teaching aids, laboratories and library with cyber support. The students are guided by well experienced faculty members.
Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm)
The college is offering M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology. The PG students are provided with advanced research and lab facilities. The PG students are guided by well qualified and experienced Faculty Members.
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D)
The college offers Six years Pharm.D course with state of the art advanced class rooms and teaching methodology with clinical exposure, laboratories and library with high speed OFC internet support. The students are guided and evaluated by well experienced faculty members.
